Oh yes, Ontario Strawberries are here.
Strawberry smoothies, strawberry crepes, strawberry muffins and pancakes, homemade strawberry jam or the ever famous Strawberry shortcake. However you like to prepare them. Make sure to eat them raw. Strawberries are so full of antioxidants, that help with inflammation. Strawberries are very versatile. You can put them in your green salads, toss them in your morning cereal or shake.
Make sure if you are picking or purchasing strawberries that they are insecticide and herbicide and fungicide FREE. Strawberries are the worst plant for being sprayed with these chemicals. Look for ORGANIC Ontario Strawberries and get your FILL. Choose Local!

That is how I spent my day. The strawberries are great this year. Weather conditions have yielded a good crop. So I picked strawberries in the AM, which only took about an hour and half. In the afternoon, my good friend Donna Jean and I spent some time at The Red Tent Wellness Spa. Oh la la, talk about getting pampered. It is really important to stop and take time for yourself. It is a time to regenerate, refocus, and relax your mind.
